FREE Halloween event taking place in the Palestine Mall for kids ages 12 and under.
MALL-O-WEEN tomorrow night October 31 from 6-8pm. This event is hosted and sponsored by the City of Palestine and several area businesses. There will be lots of games and candy for all to enjoy. We will have a THRILLER dance off every 15 mins and a cake walk every 10 mins. Hope to see you there :)
Theres a church in Gladewater past the Rodeo"towards Big Sandy " doing trick or treating and games/activities tomorrow evening (Oct. 31)from 6-8pm.
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport will be celebrating the fall season and welcoming trick-or-treaters for Halloween. Businesses in the Tyler Airport Passenger Terminal have decorated for Halloween and welcome area children to come by for some treats on Halloween afternoon until 6 p.m. Airport businesses will be providing candy and parking will be free for trick-or-treaters coming by on Monday, Oct. 31. The Great Tomb Raid fall festival at First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, October 31 from 5:30-7:30pm. For all children 6th grade and under; no scary costumes, please. Call 903 342-3538 for more details.
On Halloween night, the streets of downtown Pittsburg will be closed off for trick-or-treating from 5-7pm. There will be a costume contest from 6-7pm under the red light. The Haunted Hospital will be open Friday,Saturday, and Monday, and the Douglas Alumni will have their Halloween Carnival on Saturday.

Saturday, Oct. 15, is the Grand Opening of the Second Annual Cherokee County Scarecrow Trail in Jacksonville, sponsored by the Cherokee County Master Gardeners. Come enjoy a stroll through the beautiful East TX woods while viewing scores of incredibly creative scarecrows! At the Grand Opening, there will be musicians, facepainting, pumpkin painting, and mums for sale. Dates - Oct. 15 - Nov. 3 (closed Sundays). Location - The Ruth Nichols Arboretum at the Texas Forest Service district office, 1015 SE Loop 456. Hours for both Oct. 15 and Oct. 22 are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. M-F hours, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Admission for both Saturdays - a can of food for the HOPE pantry. Admission M-F - free.
